My name is Rayan Bahrami. I am a post-doctoral associate working on autonomous critical care at the Laboratory for Control and Information Systems in the Univerity of Maryland, College Park. I have a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (ME) from Stevens Institute of Technology. My research, in a broad sense, was about the resilience and security of cyber-physical systems (CPS), particularly networked control systems and distributed autonomous systems. I design learning, monitoring frameworks, and control configurations that allow for the safe operation of CPS in performance-degrading and adversarial settings.
I received M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in ME both from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) in October 2017 and September 2015, respectively. I was also a Research Assistant at Robotics & Automation Lab located at the AUT campus, where I did research on performance problems of electro-hydraulic systems, ranging from energy efficiency to fault tolerance.
